Roch Boulvin (1912 Belgium \u2013 5 August 1969 Mashhad, Iran) was a Belgian researcher, physician and surgeon.<\/p>\n
Life<\/strong><\/p>\n He was born in Belgium and educated at the Universit\u00e9 libre de Bruxelles. In 1936, Boulvin studied medicine at the Universit\u00e9 libre de Bruxelles.<\/p>\n Migration to Iran<\/strong><\/p>\n In 1955, he migrated to Iran. He became head of the surgical department at the Shah reza hospital in Mashhad, Iran. With his colleagues, he developed several new techniques aimed at reconstructing by splenoportography. He worked for over fifteen years in the higher ranks of the Health Department, at the Shah reza hospital in Mashhad, Iran.<\/p>\n Conversion to Islam<\/strong><\/p>\n He converted to Islam in his later life. According to statements, the main cause to convert to Islam was the kind of relationship between people and Ali al-Ridha, and characteristic of Mohammad Hadi Milani.[4] He changed his name to Abdullah when he became a Muslim.<\/p>\n Death<\/strong><\/p>\n His body was buried in the cemetery of the tomb of Khajeh Rabi’, located 6 kilometres (3.7 miles) north of the city where there are some inscriptions by the renowned Safavid calligrapher Reza Abbasi; and the tomb of Khajeh Abasalt, a distance of 20 kilometres (12 miles) from Mashhad along the road to Neishabur.
