I was a Christian and born in Italy so I had no knowledge of Islam and Shia. I had Muslim friends who were not very attached to Islam. By the way, I was looking for a way to get closer to God. when I was looking for this way, I suddenly encountered a great ritual. And this great ritual was the Ashura day ceremony which surprised and amazed me.
How it is possible after 1400 years, brothers from around the world, Pakistanis, Lebanese, Iraqis and many others mourn the great event. It seems they see the hardship of that day in themselves and to summarize this behavior of the Muslim brothers that show their grief from the depths of their hearts, impressed me immensely and I was fascinated by it.
